Rowan County Government is taking proactive steps to slow the progression of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and keep its employees healthy and safe. 

Effective April 1, 2020 – December 31, 2020, certain part-time and full-time employees of Rowan County may be eligible for additional benefits established by the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA or Act). This Act provides eligible employees with emergency paid sick leave and emergency family and medical leave for specified reasons related to COVID-19. A copy of the FFCRA employer notice is attached for your information.  

As a result of the FFCRA, the Rowan County Board of Commissioners passed two new temporary employment policies. Please refer to these two policies to determine if these benefits apply to you:
