 Challenge of the Month: Get A Flu Shot

Whether it be the scheduled Rowan County employee flu clinic, your doctor's office, or a convenience care center, getting vaccinated is a great first step to decrease your chances of the flu. 

Everyday prevention actions include: 

  • Wash your hands with soap and water often. 
  • Routinely clean frequency touched objects and surfaces, such as doorknobs and phones to remove germs. 
  • If you feel sick while at work, go home as soon as possible. 
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth. 
  • Get 8 hours of quality sleep every night. Sleep deprivation weakens the immune system. 
  • Eat more whole foods in their natural form (ex: a whole orange instead of orange juice).
